Nov 4, 11.....i got tired again with my previous blog background (one of my acrylic paintings) and before i remembered to take a screen capture i changed it! Now I've selected an image straight off of bloggers templates. hmm appropriate for fall.

ahhh I guess I've just about forgotten I had this blog!!! eeek! I messed up my other blog dovevalleypainter.blogspot.com when I tried to switch my address with my purchased domain name. yeah, I really messed it up.... then I contacted them but I still didn't get it right, so...... someday I'll have it right but for now I'm gonna use this as my "website." I'm kinda surprised I remembered my login!!
oookay....... so bear with me, I will be changing the layout, adding more pictures and who knows what else but doing it a little at a time so it might look a little scrambled for awhile. here goes................
alright, here is my first choice for layout/background (Aug 29,11) ....hmmm i love the raw wood image but it's not really artsy. however, the raw wood is really a representation of me, my background, my beginnings. When I was little I would sit in my room with my window shutters open and the light flooding in, doodling, drawing, practicing my art. My dad would be out back in his workshop working on some project. He was an amazing craftsman/carpenter/fix-it-man/I-can-do-anything person, incredibly optimistic and a perfectionist! In his workshop you could always find all kinds of scraps of wood not to mention shavings everywhere and the smell of fresh cut lumber is almost heavenly. He's been physically gone for 17 years but he was then and still is an inspiration to me. So, raw wood for my blog/website background is really PERFECT for me.
Being that I love variety though I will more than likely change the background from time to time. And I think I will keep a record of them here =)
okay, enuf now. on to more important things.
Sep 5th -Well that border didn't last long. I didn't like the colors choices to coordinate with the wood so I'm updating again. Out with the not-so-very-old and in with the new.
